Sticky Buns

Directions

  1. Stir together brown sugar, salt, yeast, and water. Let sit few minutes til foamy.
  2. Add eggs, olive oil, and flour.
  3. Knead several minutes til smooth and soft. Electric mixer works best.
  4. Let rise til doubled (about 1 hour), shape, let rise 30 minutes, bake.
  5. Put on floured surface and roll into a large rectangle. It probably shouldn't be more than a half-inch thick.
  6. Cut 2 tablespoons off the stick of butter and spread it over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle the dough with cinammon-sugar.
  8. Spread the rest of the butter on a half-sheet pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle with corn syrup.
  9. Starting on the long edge, roll up the dough. Cut into one-inch thick slices.
  10. Place the rolls in the pan, cut side down.
  11. Let rise til doubled.
  12. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes til nicely browned.
